Yes. You upload records through our portal before the virtual consult. Our treating surgeon reviews them with you before the trip is finalized.

Spanish, with English fluency common in private-sector specialists. A dedicated bilingual coordinator is present for your consultation, pre-op briefing, and family updates during surgery.

Line-by-line: surgeon fee, anesthesia, facility/OR time, hospital night(s), hotel night(s), ground transport, airport pickup, coordinator, translator, and any materials/implants. International flights, personal spending, and optional add-ons are separate.

A deposit (typically 20–30% of the package) secures your dates via our US billing entity in USD. The balance is due before surgery. Card, ACH, and wire transfer accepted. You never pay hospitals, hotels, or drivers directly in-country.

Full refund until 21 days before your scheduled arrival. Between 21 and 7 days, the deposit is rebookable to another date within 12 months. Within 7 days, the deposit is non-refundable unless we can fill your slot.

Most international/medical-tourism cases are self-pay. Some US FSA / HSA accounts reimburse medically-necessary procedures performed abroad — check with your plan administrator. We provide itemized invoices suitable for FSA/HSA submission.

The quote is fixed after the virtual consultation unless your medical evaluation on arrival materially changes scope (e.g., a dental case needing more restorations than records suggested). In that case, we notify you and you approve before any additional work begins.

Companions pay hotel double-occupancy upcharge and meals only. There is no facilitation or coordination fee for a companion.

Your coordinator (or their designated driver with NicaRenova branding) meets you at arrivals. You receive their WhatsApp number before departure so you can message directly on touchdown.

Pre-negotiated hotels in quiet neighborhoods within 15–30 minutes of the hospital. Room amenities are selected for recovery (accessible showers, quiet floors, room service, laundry).

Your coordinator handles check-in, hospital navigation, translator services, family updates during surgery, medication pickup, appointment confirmations, and any issue escalation. They're available by WhatsApp 24/7 during your stay.

Yes. All partner hotels offer Wi-Fi. Private hospital rooms also have Wi-Fi. We recommend buying a local SIM with data or using an eSIM (Airalo, Holafly) for reliable navigation and WhatsApp coverage during ground transport.

Your coordinator sends timed updates by WhatsApp (or email) to a family contact you nominate before surgery.

Procedure-specific. Dental cases often return after 3–5 days. Cosmetic surgery typically 7–14 days depending on scope. Bariatric surgery typically 7 days. Orthopedic joint replacement typically 10–14 days. Your treating surgeon signs the fly-home clearance after a final check.

Written aftercare plan in your language, a video follow-up within 30 days, and access to our coordinator escalation line for 30 days post-return. Procedure-specific follow-ups (e.g., bariatric nutritionist) are noted in the package.

If a planned return trip is part of the package (e.g., All-on-4 final bridge placement), it's already priced in. If an unplanned follow-up becomes necessary, we coordinate with the same surgeon at the best available rate.

Your coordinator's WhatsApp line remains active for 30 days post-return. Outside that window, email and scheduled follow-up slots are available at no extra charge for the first year.

All NicaRenova billing is in USD. Your bank or card issuer will convert from USD to your local currency using their exchange rate.

Tap water is not recommended for drinking. Bottled water is provided by hotels and hospitals, and we supply bottled water in transport. Food safety in private hospitals and partner hotels matches international hospitality standards.

Check your country's health service recommendations for travel to Nicaragua (typically routine vaccines, with hepatitis A and typhoid sometimes recommended). Your treating surgeon will ask about your vaccination status during the virtual consult.

Central Standard Time (UTC−6), same as Chicago and Mexico City. Nicaragua does not observe daylight saving time.

Type A and Type B (same as the US and Canada), 120V. No adapter needed if you're coming from North America.

Strongly recommended. Trip cancellation, lost baggage, and supplemental health coverage are sold by independent carriers (World Nomads, IMG Global, Allianz, SafetyWing among others). We can point you to these but do not sell travel insurance.
